My first training in the business world was working in my father's appliance business in Nebraska. He had a simple philosophy: "Offer the public a good product at a fair price and keep the promises you make." In 1971, Altmans opened its doors in Baldwin Park, California with that same business philosophy. Because of that conviction, Altmans is the oldest major RV dealer in Southern California today.
We proudly feature Winnebago brand products, the best value in motor homes on the market today. With the factory's permission, we computer price our motor homes as would a factory outlet, well below sticker price, to give you a hassle-free, pleasant shopping experience. We also serve you after the sale as I would want to be treated.
After over thirty-six years in business, we have probably sold more new Winnebago's than any other dealer in the world! Looks like my father was right!

For the past 20 years, Winnebago Industries has been recognizing authorized dealers for achieving superior customer satisfaction with the Circle of Excellence award. The award is based on customer satisfaction as it relates to the customers' sales and service experience with the dealer. Of those dealers achieving the coveted Circle of Excellence status only four, nationwide, have done it every year since it's inception and ALTMANS WINNEBAGO is one of those!

Our Founder
Dave Altman was introduced to the world of RV's in 1968 and soon decided that fulfilling people's dreams was his life's calling. In 1971 he opened Dave Altmans RV Center in Baldwin Park, CA, now known as Altmans Winnebago, growing it into one of the largest RV dealerships in Southern California.
Dave was an 18 year board member and past president of RVDA (Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association) and was the chairman of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation that maintains the RV/MH Hall of Fame, Museum, Library and Conference Center in Elkhart, Ind. He is credited as the founder, and served 20 years as President, of the Southern California RV Dealers Association. He is a founder and past Chairman of the California State RV dealers association.
He is the sixth recipient of the prestigious RVDA James Summers award and was recently honored with the David J. Humphreys RV Industry Unity Award, established to recognize an individual who continuously strives to encourage the multiple constituencies of the RV industry to work collectively for the growth and betterment
of the RV industry. He chaired the first RV dealers independent convention. He is the founding Chairman of the national RV Rental Association. Altmans Winnebago has been recognized by Winnebago Industries with their "Circle of Excellence" Award every year it has been presented.
To Dave, the value of these awards was not in the recognition he received, but in the acknowledgment by others of his struggle to make the business he loved more professional and better for its customers.
